James Robert Wexler later known as J-Rob was born in Silver City, North Carolina, and raised in Brooklyn, New York where he resided for ten years. He currently resides in Kissimmee, Florida. J-Rob is a miracle baby. He could not hold his food down because it would get caught in his airways which led him to stop breathing and his body turning blue. The doctor pronounced him dead six times. J-Rob was put on a life-support machine until he was two years old. At the age of eleven, he moved with his parents to Orlando, Florida. At a young age, J-Rob was involved in street activities with the wrong crowd which led to him being shot in the back of his head at the tender age of ten while walking to school. To keep him out of trouble his father signed him up for acting classes which landed him major roles in the film industry. J-Rob was inspired by Trick Daddy, R Kelly, Ludacris, and Nelly, so in 2000, J-Rob wanted to be a rapper. He had an ex-wife and he had two daughters, and later on, he was engaged and had a son, but now he is focused on his music career.

In 2014, due to a lot of crucial circumstances, such as J-Rob’s ex-wife having colon cancer stage three; losing his granddad Butts; losing his two best friends to suicide. His ex-wife left him and took his two daughters away from him. A month after he lost his father, and the month after that, his grandmother passed away.

J-Rob felt like his world was falling apart so he tried to commit suicide five times because he couldn’t live with the pain. While he was homeless, God opened up his eyes and showed him there was a purpose for his life. This led J-Rob into surrendering his life to Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Due to going through similar situations when J-Rob was younger, he then wanted to show there is a better way of life than street activity and gangs.

J-Rob understands that he may not be able to change the whole world, but if he can help change the outlook on one person’s world that is all that will matter. Positive, uplifting, and encouraging music and public speaking will help them transform into a new creation to make this community a better place.

Currently, J-Rob will be releasing his two debut singles, “Take A Step Back” and, “My Past Life” in 2022. These songs are on his forthcoming album, “Blessed.” He continues to make new music for his fans. J-Rob is preparing to launch his, “God’s Got Me” tour sponsored by the International Stop Bullying and Violence Now Tour, Inc.

Not only does, J-Rob create music, but he has been acting since 1996. He was on a television show, on Nickelodeon in 1996, and in 1999, a movie, Deep Blue starring LL Cool J. He performed at local shows and in 2 plays, Alice in Wonderland and CATS. While working at Universal Orlando, J-Rob was an extra in the television show, American Gladiator and Sharknado Three.
